Frequently asked questions

About Mori's Korea

What is Mori's Korea — and who is Mori?

Mori's Korea is a curated portal connecting viewers of the Mori's Korea YouTube channel to authentic Korean food, life, culture, beauty, pet, and travel experiences — through the magazine, the videos, and, over time, trusted shopping and travel partners.

Mori is the illustrated host of the channel and this magazine: curious, upbeat, and a little awkward about it. Meet the rest of the cast on the About page.

How current is the information, and what if I spot a mistake?

The Right Now Korea section of the Magazine covers what's coming up and what just happened in Korea, timed to when it's actually relevant. Even so, opening hours, prices, and event dates can change, so check the official source before you go.

If something looks wrong or out of date, email us the article's page address and what needs fixing — we'd genuinely like to know. The Report a problem section above has a ready-made email.

Where can I watch the videos?

Every video is on the Videos page, newest first, and on the Mori's Korea YouTube channel. Tap a video to watch it on YouTube.

To comment on a specific video, use the comment section under that video on the YouTube channel.

Where do the photos come from?

Where an article uses a photo, its credit appears at the bottom of that article, and third-party material is listed on the Credits page. For questions about using or removing a photo, email us with the page address.

Can I use the Mori characters or images?

Please email us before you use Mori's Korea characters or images anywhere else. Tell us what you'd like to use and where it would appear.

Is the information on the site professional advice?

No. Articles and videos are general information and personal recommendations about Korea — not legal, immigration, medical, or financial advice. Entry rules, opening hours, prices, and event dates change, so confirm important details with the official source before you go. See the Terms of Use.

Do you use affiliate links?

Not at the moment. Mori's Korea doesn't currently take part in any affiliate program, and the links on Mori's Picks go straight to each partner's own site. If that ever changes, we'll say so on the Affiliate Disclosure page first.

Are you sponsored by the brands and places you feature?

No. As of today, Mori's Korea has no sponsorship, paid partnership, or affiliate arrangement with the brands, shops, or places we mention in our articles and videos. If that changes, we'll say so clearly where it applies and on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

Accounts & Mori Points

Do I need an account?

No. Reading the magazine and watching videos never requires signing in. Member features, such as Mori Points, are opening soon.

How do I sign up — and how old do I need to be?

Accounts aren't open yet — they're opening soon. When they do, you'll use the Sign in button at the top of the page to sign in with your Google account; the first time, your account is created for you. You must be at least 14, and we ask for your birth year once, right after you first sign in.

Before you sign in, you can read the rules: Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Mori Points Terms.

What are Mori Points?

Mori Points are our way of saying thanks for being part of Mori's Korea — a thank-you benefit, not money. They open together with the member features. Points have no cash value and only work on this site. The full rules are in the Mori Points Terms.

How do I earn Mori Points?

Points are earned through things like a daily check-in (with streak bonuses), quizzes, and a free daily draw, and there's a daily limit on how many one account can earn. The exact values, the limit, and any changes are in the Mori Points Terms — that page is the official list.

How do Mori Points expire?

Currently, points expire 12 months after the day you earn them. We set the expiry period, and if we change it we post the change on the Mori Points Terms page before it applies.

Can I transfer, sell, or trade Mori Points?

No. Points can't be bought, sold, traded, gifted, transferred, or cashed out, and they can't be shared between accounts. See the Mori Points Terms.

What can I use Mori Points for?

Right now points can only be earned. When we have the chance to offer perks — for example small extras or partner discounts — we'll announce them on the Mori Points Terms page. We don't promise any specific reward, date, or amount.

What if my points or account look wrong?

Email us from the address you signed in with and tell us what you see and what you expected. If points were added or taken away by an error, we may correct your balance — see Corrections and Misuse in the Mori Points Terms.

Privacy & safety

How do you handle privacy — and what about kids?

We keep what we collect small. Reading and watching never require an account, and we measure visits with cookie-free, aggregate statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) — no advertising trackers. If you do sign in, we ask once for your birth year (year only) to confirm you meet our minimum age of 14 for points, comments, and other account features. We don't collect your phone number, physical address, or location, and we don't sell your information.

The details are in our Privacy Policy. For a privacy request, or a question as a parent or guardian, email us.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Email us from the address you signed in with, put "Privacy request" in the subject line, and tell us what you'd like — to see your data, correct it, or delete your account. Members can also download a copy of their account data from the Account page. We reply within 30 days. Deleting your account also removes your points. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

How do I report a comment?

Comments open soon. When they do, email us the page address, the nickname and roughly when it was posted, and what's wrong. Our Terms of Use explain what we act on.

Can I ask Mori a question?

We're preparing a Q&A space for members, coming soon. For now, the best way is to email us your question.
