Olive Young Has Opened in the US — What That Actually Means for You
If you've been ordering K-beauty online and wondering what it's like in person, you can now just walk into a store. Here's what's there, where, and what's still Korea-only.

What Just Happened
CJ Olive Young — Korea's largest health-and-beauty retail chain — opened its first US store in Pasadena, California on May 29, 2026. A second store followed in June at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, with a third US location planned for later in 2026. Both openings drew serious crowds; the Century City opening reportedly had a line stretching over 100 meters.
This isn't Olive Young's first contact with US shoppers — its online store has shipped internationally for years. What's new is a real, walk-in store.
What You'll Actually Find There
Olive Young's model in Korea is a multi-brand beauty department store, not a single-brand shop — it mixes well-known Korean skincare and makeup lines with smaller, harder-to-find indie brands under one roof, plus K-snacks and lifestyle items near the checkout. The US stores are carrying that same curated, mixed-brand format rather than a narrow "greatest hits" selection.
What's Still Korea-Only (For Now)
Worth setting expectations: Olive Young runs well over a thousand stores across Korea, packed into nearly every neighborhood. Two or three US locations is a first foothold, not a rollout — most of the selection you'd find wandering into a random Olive Young in Seoul still isn't a short drive away for most Americans. Online ordering remains the more realistic option outside the LA area for now.
If you're actually in Southern California, though, this is the first time you can browse an Olive Young store in person instead of guessing from photos.
Store details here are as reported at the time of writing. Locations, hours, brands in stock and prices can change, so check Olive Young's official site before you go.
